ODU Human Resources Administrative Assistant and Office Specialist (00461A) Program Administrator - Virginia Consortium Program in Clinical Psychology This Old Dominion University staff position is responsible for managing the day-to-day administrative aspects of a joint Ph.D. program among ODU, NSU, and EVMS. Responsibilities include administrative support to faculty and students. Also assist with fiscal management, manage all record-keeping aspects of the program including student records, and assist with periodic reports to accrediting bodies and the Consortial institutions. Position is located on Norfolk State University Campus. Must be able to work regularly at NSU campus but travel to ODU and/or EVMS for meetings and trainings. Required Qualifications: Considerable knowledge of administrative practices, policies and procedures. Considerable knowledge of effective customer service techniques when serving diverse customers. Proficient skill in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access), email, and web browsers. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills. Demonstrated time management and organizational skills. Demonstrated proofreading skills and the ability to pay close attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to complete work assignments in a timely fashion while handling multiple tasks, interruptions and deadlines. Demonstrated ability to interpret and explain policies, rules and regulations. Demonstrated ability to prepare correspondence, manipulate data and produce reports. Demonstrated ability to retrieve and interpret fiscal information. Considerable experience in an administrative support role. Considerable customer service experience in a public setting. Some experience monitoring and reconciling financial data. Preferred Qualifications: Associate's degree in Administrative support, Technology, Business Administration, Accounting or a related field. Some experience in higher education. Some experience in student services. Familiarity with Old Dominion University communication and management systems. Some experience in data collection and management. Demonstrated ability to lead and direct the work of others. This position closes February 14, 2020.
