Job Description:
As a Claims Service Specialist at GEICO, the largest auto
insurer in the U.S., you will be an essential part of a dynamic
team focused on providing exceptional customer service and claim
handling. This role involves direct interaction with customers to
guide and resolve claims efficiently and accurately, embodying our
commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction. The successful
candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, tackling
challenges head-on, and contributing to continuous process
improvement to enhance customer experience. Interact with customers
to provide top-notch customer service and handle claims from
initiation to resolution. Document and update customer claims and
policies accurately. Assist in evaluating accident or incident
reports to determine coverage. Coordinate with other departments to
expedite processing and payments of claims. Provide timely
communication to clients on their claim status and any follow-up
information needed. Participate in training sessions to stay
updated on industry practices and policies. Strong customer service
orientation and communication skills. Effective problem-solving and
negotiation skills. Ability to work well under pressure and
multi-task efficiently. Solid computer proficiency, especially with
databases and MS Office applications. Knowledge of insurance
policies, and claims processing protocols. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification in
Customer Service (CCS) preferred. Insurance claims certification is
a plus.
