Department of Physics at Norfolk State University (NSU) invites
applications for tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of
Assistant Professor in the field of Quantum Science. The physics
department offers a BS in physics, an MS in Materials Science, and
a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering. We are seeking faculty
with expertise in quantum optics and quantum enabled optoelectronic
device integration technologies. The appointment is expected to
begin August 2025, the position remains open until it is filled.
Minimum Qualification PhD degree in Physics or closely related
field. A record of accomplishments in quantum science. Additional
Considerations Demonstrated expertise in quantum optics.
Demonstrated expertise in chip integrated photonics and quantum
sensing. Demonstrated expertise in quantum entanglement and quantum
