provide technical services to the customers of Plasser American
CorporationPosition Summary: Must possess the necessary experience
to operate, service, troubleshoot and repair Plasser railway track
maintenance equipment.Must be knowledgeable in railroad track work
procedures and be familiar with railroad terminology.Must be
capable of instructing railroad personnel in the operation and
maintenance of Plasser equipment.Must be able to read and
understand hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical schematics.Must have
a working knowledge of fluid power, basic computer skills, basic
electricity, and a solid background in mechanics.Must be willing to
travel for extended durations on short noticeMust be willing to
work various schedules and hoursMust be fully vaccinated for the
Coronavirus by December 8, 2021. Supervisory Responsibilities: Does
not have direct supervision of any employee, however, will be
required to supervise customer's employees in the form of
instruction. Must be self-motivated and perform assigned task with
limited or no supervision. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES(The
knowledge, skills and attributes required for satisfactory job
performance) Education: One-year certificate from college or
technical school or 1 year related experience and/or equivalent
combination of education and experience. Three years' experience as
a service representative level 5 or equivalent is a prerequisite.
Knowledge: Incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the
following areas:Knowledge of Plasser American Corporation machines
and servicing them.Knowledge of Plasser American Measuring
systemsKnowledge of troubleshooting techniquesKnowledge of Track
geometry and structuresSkills: Incumbent must demonstrate or
participate in internal/external training programs to obtain the
following skills:Ability to read and interpret documents such as
safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure
manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or
employees of the organization.Ability to add. subtract, multiply
and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common
fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and
percentage to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to work in the
metric unit of measure and to convert to US Standard.Ability to
solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete
variables in situations where only limited standardization exits.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in
written, oral, diagram or schedule form.Must have and maintain a
valid driver's license. Will require employee to travel extensively
via automobile or commercial transportation. Possibly for extended

use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee frequently is
required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally

affecting the incumbent)While performing the duties of this job,
the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The
employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and
vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious
places; fumes or airborne particles; and risk of electrical shock.

senses)The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close
vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth

deadlines associated with this position, which may cause
significant stress. The incumbent must also deal with a wide
