General Scope: Assists in the planning, the layout, and installation of hydraulic hose and components, based on job specifications and local codes. HYDRAULIC ASSEMBLER / MECHANIC Position Summary: Measure, cut, fabricate and install hydraulic hose.Install hose clamps and hardware using hand and power tools.Connect hoses to components.Assist in the layout and installation of hardware, based on job specifications.Follow diagrams or blueprints, ensuring that hose connections are proper.Ensures all hoses have chaff protection where required.Assist in fixing leaks and repairing faulty components. HYDRAULIC ASSEMBLER / MECHANIC Education: High School diploma (or equivalent), two-year College degree (or technical school certificate); or a minimum of two years of related experience and/or training. HYDRAULIC ASSEMBLER / MECHANIC Knowledge: Incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:Basic Hydraulic Fluid Power.Ability to read Hydraulic schematics HYDRAULIC ASSEMBLER / MECHANIC Skills: Incumbent must demonstrate 2 to 5 year hydraulic experienceExperience with HydraulicAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Ability to follow, basic hydraulic schematic drawings, and engineering blueprints.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Capable of working in a team environment HYDRAULIC ASSEMBLER / MECHANIC Benefits:Accrue 80 Hours of Paid Time Off during your first year of employment10 Paid Holidays per year401(k) match of $0.50 for every $1.00 you contribute up to 6% of your salaryYou may receive a merit bonus after completion of the audit at the end of the fiscal yearTuition ReimbursementFree Short and Long Term Disability after 90 days of employmentFree Life Insurance - 2 times your annual salaryCompany EventsFree employee medical and dental coverage. - valued at $7,500.00 About Plasser American: As part of the Plasser family brand, which is the largest Maintenance of Way equipment provider in the world, PAC is a rapidly growing provider of railway equipment in North America.
