Job Description:
Job Description The selected applicant will provide technical
support of Communications-Electronics (C-E) equipment, systems,
subsystems, and ancillaries in fixed/mobile communications
facilities/platforms for the Department of Defense (DoD), US
Special Operations Forces (SOF), and other government agencies as
directed. Technical support services may include evaluation,
testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, installation,
integration, and modification of C5ISR systems and equipment.
Additional tasks would include assemble components and
subassemblies following production drawings, fabricate cables, and
install equipment into vehicles, boats, or ships. Travel to various
US locations may be required, and periodic short-term (The hourly
rate for this position is set by the Dept of Labor and is not
negotiable. Current rate is $29.15/hr.This position is based in
Chesapeake, VA and there is no relocation assistance available for
this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state
willingness to relocate self to Chesapeake or surrounding
areas.Required Education, Experience, & Skills High school diploma
and at least four years of related experienceMilitary
communications or electronics training (Military Electronics class
"A" school or equivalent)Ability to read schematics and production
drawingsAbility to travel within the United States and some limited
foreign travel (up to 50%)Familiarity with and use of hand tools
and electronic test equipmentPreferred Education, Experience, &
Skills Familiarity with military Tactical CommunicationsFamiliarity

Training for working at heightPay InformationThis position is
covered by a wage law called the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract
Act (SCA). The wage range for this position is determined by the
Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor on a
