for a Project Water Engineer to join our Resilience Water Team in
Virginia Beach, Virginia! Collaborating with our experienced Water
Professionals, you will support and drive the development of
stormwater projects, interact and work with clients, and develop
your technical capabilities. Arcadis provides multiple onboarding
and development programs created for our young professionals that
support professional growth and help drive creativity, innovation,
and greater integration within our local, national, and global
teams. Role accountabilities: As a Project Water Engineer, you will
evaluate, plan, design, permit and support management of projects
for stormwater BMPs and conveyance (pipelines, BMPs, and pumping
facilities). In addition, this role may support professional
engineering services during construction: construction observation,
review of shop drawings, responses to request for information
(RFIs) and permit closeouts. Additional responsibilities include:
Perform, set up, assemble data, and coordinate resources to
complete hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and calculations for
stormwater linear design, watershed models, natural systems and
dams, and act as a stormwater resource for teams across the region
and country. Support sustainability and resilience projects with
stormwater modeling, planning and design. Support preparation of
reports, presentations, and other audio-visual materials, and
participate in client meetings. Ensure project compliance with all
Arcadis practices and quality, health, and safety standards, and
facilitate coordination for timely completion and submission of
projects on time and budget. Work independently and as part of a
team, with the flexibility to accommodate collaboration with team
members across the country. Learn / use digital tools to enhance
customer experience, team and client collaboration, and project
delivery including configuration and deployment of SharePoint,
Building Information Modeling (BIM), Power BI, and Augmented
Reality. Travel may be required for project site visits, client
meetings, safety audits, general planning purposes or to oversee
construction activities, depending on project staffing needs.
Qualifications & Experience: Required Qualifications 7 years of
relevant experience. Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental,
Mechanical or a related field of study. Professional Engineering
(PE) License. Preferred Qualifications The preferred candidate will
have experience working in a design, consulting engineering, or
municipal environment, along with demonstrated project leadership
capabilities, including managing overall project delivery
expectations, prioritizing tasks, and mentoring team members. Prior
experience with construction observation is highly desirable, as is
client management experience that includes preparing and developing
proposals and building strong client relationships. Proficiency or
formal training in AutoCAD and/or Revit is preferred. A Master of
Science or Master of Engineering degree in Civil, Environmental,
Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field, is

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $152,000/year.
Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as
experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and
