Job Description:

Immediate need for an ENGINEERING BRANCH MANAGER with a focus on construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, special inspections and/or environmental services. The engineering leader hired for this position will work closely with firm leadership to grow an established office. Staff size is 20-25 people. This is a branch manager level position with full P/L responsibility. You will be heavily involved with marketing and business development, as well as overseeing quality of deliverables. NOTE: Several branch and department manager opportunities are available throughout the mid-Atlantic states. In this position you will serve as technical CMT/geotechnical lead, manage the business resulting in profitability and growth, train and mentor staff at all levels, be involved with strategic planning and direction of the office, and interact and support other offices in the firm. The company is a mid-Atlantic based engineering firm experiencing tremendous growth and expansion. They seek engineering talent to help take them to the next level. NOTE: If you do not have experience in geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing or environmental services, please do not apply; you will not be considered. We seek candidates with 10+ years of experience, and a BS in civil engineering, geology or a related discipline; a Masters degree is a plus. Professional registration is required. Will consider candidates registered as a Professional Engineers [PE], Professional Geologist [PG], Registered Environmental Manager [REM] or with other related licenses. While candidates with established local contacts in the region are preferred, all qualified candidates will be considered. Candidates should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work with and train other team members, and be able to interact with clients. You will oversee the preparation of technical reports as well as proposals. Qualifications: - 10+ years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, special inspections and/or environmental services - BSCE required; MS preferred. - Professional registration is required - Local contacts throughout the mid-Atlantic states highly desired - Strong business development, leadership, organizational and planning skills
