Our Marine Services Division has more than 30 years experience in
providing full-service ship repair capabilities for the US Naval

Chesapeake, Virginia, we are certified in Submarine Safety
(SUBSAFE) and Deep Submergence System Scope of Certification
(DSS-DOC) repair activities, and specialize in the design, repair,
maintenance, modification, and installation of hull, mechanical and
electrical (HM&E) systems.

Duties & Responsibilities
Through this program, Oceaneering is seeking a motivated Supply
Chain Management SkillBridge Intern to work and learn in our
facility in Chesapeake, VA. The successful candidate will
participate in a practical, structured, systematic program of
on-the-job training and related instruction to develop existing
military technical experience. Internship can be 6 - 24 weeks long
and can only commence within 180-days prior to active duty
separation.

Week 1

Oceaneering Orientation
Completion of all required Oceaneering in-person, virtual, and
self-paced online courses required for new hires.
Week 2
8 hours
OJT
Assimilation with the organization to include meetings and
introductions to functional peers, program managers, and other
internal resources.
Week 2
32 hours
OJT
Hands-on training in purchasing and on preparing and maintaining
all relevant documentation in accordance with applicable process
instructions using applicable OII-MSD forms
Week 3
40 hours
OJT
Review of Level 1 material relating to Submarine Safety (SUBSAFE)
Requirements Manual, and Material Control Division material
relating to System Certification Procedures and Criteria Manual for
Deep Submergence Systems
Week 4
40 hours
OJT
Hands-on training in technical receipt inspection, conformity,
verification, and validation of controlled material in accordance
with the applicable specifications and standards specified in
purchasing documentation.
Week 5
40 hours

Hands-on training in receiving, warehousing, controlling and
distributing Government Property including the DDS Rotatable Pool
inventory.
Week 6
40 hours

Hands-on training in preparing and maintaining all relevant
documentation in accordance with applicable process instructions
using applicable OII-MSD forms
Week 7 - 24
40 hours/week up to 24 weeks depending on length of internship
approved by command

Additional, hands-on practice in each topic learned in previous
weeks.
Qualifications Must meet all eligibility requirements outlined in
DOD Instruction 1322.29 and NAVADMIN 222/15
Official TAD/ TDY Orders to Oceaneering International, Inc. for the
period of the internship
Minimum 4-years' experience as a U.S. Navy Logistics Specialist
Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work
experience
Advanced level user of Microsoft Office Suite
Detail oriented and results driven
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
Must have a Secret/Confidential security clearance
Must be a U.S. citizen who is not a dual citizen of any other
country

The shipyard/base/manufacturing work environment; the site may
contain mobility barriers with uneven ground level and obstructed
pathways. Climatic and environmental conditions at the job site
will be indoor/outdoor climate environment with various
temperatures and noise levels caused by various tasks normally
accomplished in an industrial setting, tools, machinery, equipment,
and etc.
Employee may be required to do the following: ability to access and
work in confined spaces,reaching in all directions, handling and
manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movement of
eyes, hands and fingers to operate machines and equipment; lifting
50 lbs from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying
objects, etc.; ascending/descending inclined ships gangways ;
climbing ladders , standing; crawling , squatting , bending ,
sitting; walking; seeing with or without correction; hearing with
or without correction; following set procedures and standards;
applying basic mathematical skills; following oral and/or written
directions; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report
safety hazards. Protective equipment will be required to be worn at
all times. This is Medium work.
(Exerting up to 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to
25 pounds of work frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force
constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in
excess of those for Light Work).
