Summary of Position (Job Purpose) This position serves as a field
leader of a business-embedded ("business within a business")
training organization for the Enterprise (Dollar Tree and Family
Dollar). This position serves as a business partner in order to
consult, develop, deliver, and measure learning and development
strategies that align with Enterprise priorities and help field
leaders deliver business results through people. This position is
responsible for: ensuring strategic alignment of the field
training, coaching, and development activities with the
Enterprise's business priorities and goals; deploying field talent
and resources strategically and efficiently to deliver training,
coaching, consulting, and assessments based upon business goals and
Enterprise priorities; evaluating individual and organizational
performance to ensure field training, coaching, and development is
meeting business needs and improving performance; This position is
also responsible for developing and delivering tactical operations
and soft skills training content that meets business needs. This
position is responsible to lead and manage a remote international
training team in the design, development, implementation,
measurement, sustainment, and facilitation of training and
development programs.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
* Responsible for all Regions in the Enterprise for the eastern
part of the US.
* Managing and leading remote team and business partnerships
* Coaching team members, touch base calls, deployment of team
members, measurement of training and coaching activities,
communicating with team, collaborating with business partners at
Zone and Regional levels
* Content development, design, deploy, and measure content for
learning and development
* Facilitation - large and small group facilitation and Train the
Trainer sessions
* Strategize with Zone and Regional business partners to develop
training and development that aligns with Enterprise priorities and
performance goals.
* Decisions making regarding departmental travel budget spend; up
to $400,000 department travel and oversight of Ops training budget
and ensuring efficient deployment of resources
* Organizational agility is essential to the role, and requires the
ability to communicate, relate, and build relationships with all
levels of field Operations leadership in order to develop strategic
plans that balance the internal customer's needs and goals with
Enterprise priorities.
* Must be able to use flexible communication strategies to
influence leaders and provide exceptional internal customer service
and leadership of the remote team.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
* 3 to 5 years experience and Bachelor's degree (BA/BS/BFA) or
equivalent
* Strong communication and organizational skills
* Demonstrated ability to multi-task and to meet project
deadlines
* Excellent organizational and communication skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, iPad

* Certification in coaching and/or training
