Job Description:
Provides leadership in assessing, designing, developing,
implementing, and evaluating training and clinical education.
Utilizes clinical knowledge of nursing work flow in developing
curriculum and training programs relevant to system initiatives to
improve patient outcomes. Serves as champion in incorporating
patient safety and quality initiatives into system education.
Utilizes advanced clinical knowledge and skills to facilitate
learning. Enables proactive changes to nursing processes by
influencing them through leadership, research, collaboration, and
decision-making. Leads strategies to implement new initiatives,
resources and processes. Coordinates development, education and end
user training environments and materials. Leads development and
implementation of processes to ensure users can demonstrate
competencies related to work. Promotes application of nursing
clinical expertise in specified patient populations. Serves as an
expert clinician, serving to develop staff from advanced beginner
to expert status. Leads, facilitates, and/or participates in system
Interprofessional quality initiatives, implementing evidence based
nursing practices, and other educational plans and activities. Lead
faculty for system educational initiatives and cross coverage for
system general nursing orientation. Simulation & debriefing skills
recommended. One-year experience using an electronic medical
record. Must be certified in specialty area of department assigned
at time of hire. Registered Nurse Required (BSN).
