SummaryThe Acute Care Services Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) is responsible for the initial and ongoing education and competency assessment and evaluation process within the assigned units in acute care services. The Acute Care Services Nurse Educator assists Nursing Services and provides programs and training to enhance the development of technical, psychomotor, and critical thinking domains. The Acute Care Services Nurse Educator will maintain clinical competency in order to best assess and assist the needs of the units assigned.Education and ExperienceMinimum Required Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) or EducationPreferred Education: Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) or EducationExperience: 3+ years in an acute care nursing facility in a specialty clinical areaCertificates, Licenses, RegistrationsApplicant must be licensed to work as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. BLS Required through American Heart Association upon hire.
