Job Description:

Offering but not requiring 48/4x12 hour contracts (OT after 48)

Stepdown RN needed for 13 weeks with possible extension

3x12 or 4x12 (OT after 48) Day Shift 7am-7:30pm; weekdays, EOW, Float, Holidays within contract. Must be willing to float.

BLS ACLS required via American Heart Association NIHSS required

Skills required vents IV start Telemetry PA Lines Conscious Sedation

Must be EPIC proficient - NO EXCEPTIONS

3 years experience preferred (will consider strong candidates without 3 years) travel experience preferred

Qualivis Submission Form and current NURSYS report required on all submissions. All RTO must be included at the time of submittal.

The exam is not extensive, it is very basic. It consists of 10 strips in which the nurse must answer rhythm, rate, PRI, QRS, and interpretation. There are no tricky or complicated rhythms. When a nurse does not pass this exam, it is clear they lack the knowledge to care for a telemetry patient. Not required for L&D, Case Management, BH/Psych ER. The units who need EKG testing are ED, stepdown, ICU, 2E/2W, 4W, 5E/W, 6E/W, Endoscopy, PACU, Surgical Admitting Unit
