Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager with hospital
discharge planning and utilization review experience for a
fast-paced ortho/neuro surgical unit, requiring an active VA or
compact RN license. Responsibilities - Position is in the Case
Management department of an acute inpatient hospital - Focus on
ortho/neuro surgical patient population - Primary duties include
discharge planning and managing multiple admissions and discharges
daily - Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts, weekdays with some
weekends and holiday coverage - EPIC charting system experience is
required - Casual business attire is required - Responsibilities
include case management, discharge planning, and utilization review
in a high-volume surgical unit - Work in a fast-paced environment
with frequent patient transitions - Holiday coverage may be
required as part of the rotation - Pre-employment fit testing is
required; PAPR accommodations are not available - Three hours of
pre-start online modules are required - Two professional references
are required for consideration - First-time travelers will be
considered if all requirements are met - Time off requests must be
submitted for approval during the application process Requirements
- Active VA or compact RN license in hand is required - Minimum of
5 years of RN experience in an inpatient acute care hospital -
Prior utilization review and discharge planning experience required
- BLS certification via the American Heart Association is required
- CCM or ACM certification is preferred - EPIC experience is
required - Travel RN experience is preferred - Must have a clean
license and background with no prior hits - Candidates must live
