Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN)
Unit Coordinator for the Intermediate Care/Step Down Unit.
Hours/Shift: 40-hours, Days Our 24-bed Intermediate Care Unit
provides a dynamic and supportive environment for nurses who thrive
in a fast-paced setting that bridges critical and acute care. We
care for patients with complex medical needs requiring close
monitoring and specialized interventions, while fostering strong
interdisciplinary collaboration and professional growth. Join a

heart of everything we do. Primary diagnosis includes CHF, COPD,
MI, CKD, AKD, and Sepsis. We do several drips on our unit which
include dobutamine, milrinone, dopamine, Lasix, heparin and
nitroglycerin. Our nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4-5. Education -
Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing - Bachelor of Science
Nursing- BSN Certification/Licensure - Registered nursing License
(Required) - BLS required within 90 days of hire Experience -
18-months of RN experience is required RN Unit Coordinators
demonstrate proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty
area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing
care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager
leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies
workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase
staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer

Medical Center , located in Elizabeth City, NC, serves northeastern
North Carolina with a caring team of approximately 650 employees

Street. The 135-acre campus, coming out of the ground at Halstead
Boulevard Extended and Thunder Road, will be known as the Sentara
Albemarle Regional Health Campus. It is projected to cost about
$200 million, up from the original estimate of $158 million, due to
sharp spikes in costs for building materials and medical equipment.
