Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/19/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float position in the ICU, requiring a VA or compact RN license and flexible scheduling. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Float among multiple Critical Care Units including SICU, MICU, CCU, and Oncology ICU - Units include three 18-bed ICUs and one 6-bed Oncology ICU - Patient populations include traumatic injuries, post-surgical patients, neuro, open-heart, medical, cardiac, and critically ill oncology patients - All units care for patients with DKA, ETOH withdrawal, and high acuity needs - Night shift position with 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM - Every other weekend required - Holiday coverage may be required - Provide high-level critical care to diverse patient populations across multiple ICUs - Work closely with interdisciplinary team members within each ICU - Flexible scheduling is preferred to accommodate unit needs - May be scheduled for holiday coverage as determined by assignment /n /n Requirements/n - Active VA or compact RN license required - Current BLS certification required - ICU nursing experience required - Ability to float between SICU, MICU, CCU, and Oncology ICU units - Two professional references required for consideration - PDF copy of driver’s license and Social Security number required /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-652271.
