Qualifications / Desired Experience: Current RN licensure with Step-Down unit experience Proficient in managing cardiac drips (e.g., Diltiazem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin) Skilled in BIPAP/CPAP/High Flow oxygen therapy ACLS certification required Experience with sepsis management Familiarity with bedside cardioversion preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced, teamwork-oriented environment Responsibilities: Provide exceptional nursing care for patients in a 20-bed step-down unit with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 Utilize advanced monitoring equipment including ZOLL defibrillators, Baxter pumps, and GE telemetry monitors Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including ICU, Cath Lab, and other step-down units Maintain accurate documentation using the Expanse system Adhere to strict scheduling requirements including every other weekend and holiday shifts Participate in mandatory shift huddles and bedside shift reports to enhance patient care and communication Schedule / Hours: Scheduled shifts every other weekend, including some holidays Typically 12-hour shifts starting promptly at 7:00 AM or 7:00 PM Must be available for 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays per schedule Perks and Highlights: Work alongside a team with a wide range of experience, from seasoned nurses to new graduates Recognized for a stellar team culture with a 0% turnover rate over the last two years Strong collaborative relationships with ICU and Cath Lab teams A supportive environment that values accountability and teamwork Access to cutting-edge technology and well-established policies to ensure quality patient care This contract position offers a challenging, rewarding role for dedicated step-down nurses looking to apply their skills in a supportive, professional setting.
