Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is
seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with ARRT (MR)
certification and strong hospital-based MRI skills. /n /n
Responsibilities/n - Work in a hospital-based MRI department with
high acuity patients - Utilize GE MRI and Medtronic pacemaker
machines - Perform procedures on patients requiring pacemakers and
anesthesia cases - 4x10 hour day shifts with rotating weekly
schedule - Includes weekend and overnight call coverage, with two
24-hour Sunday call shifts per month and holiday call as required -
Uses Epic EHR and PACS systems (preferred experience) -
Responsibilities include daily MRI modality operations following
established protocols and working under radiologist supervision -
Selects appropriate MRI pulse sequences and scan parameters per
protocol and ensures data accuracy - Applies MRI safety practices
and provides instructions to patients before, during, and after
procedures - May contribute to training new staff and work with MRI
students - Performs IV injections and administers MRI contrast
agents - Troubleshoots equipment issues and reports to maintenance
when necessary - First-time travelers are accepted - Local
candidates are accepted with a pay adjustment - Candidates must
reside at least 50 miles from the facility for travel consideration
- Scrub attire policy applies as per hospital requirements -
Testing or online modules required including EKG on the first day
/n /n Requirements/n - ARRT (MR) certification required, or must
obtain within one year of hire - Current BLS (AHA) required prior
to direct patient care - At least 2 years of MRI experience in a
hospital setting required - Associate's degree from an
ARRT-accredited institute preferred - Strong critical thinking and
customer service skills - Ability to work independently and manage
high-acuity cases - Must pass EKG testing within two attempts on
the first day - License required if applicable /n Benefits/n - High
