Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks with possible extension Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of experience required, travel experience required License: Compact or state license in hand, no exceptions Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Proficiency in EPIC - Experience with neurology/stroke patients in acute care setting - Skills in IV start and telemetry interpretation - Ability to manage various patient care procedures Description: Chesapeake is located in a beautiful area known as Coastal Virginia. It is an outdoor lover’s paradise offering trails for all levels of hikers and over 20 waterways to explore. This position involves providing care for a diverse patient population on a MedSurg Tele unit. The patient ratios will be 1:7, and you may be required to float and work holidays within the contract. Key responsibilities include monitoring patients' telemetry, managing dysrhythmias, and providing care to neurology/stroke patients. Successful candidates will demonstrate proficiency in handling telemetry equipment and will have experience with monitoring and responding to changes in patient conditions. The facility will not consider candidates with any prior license or background issues.
