About the Position Job Title: Respiratory Care Practitioner

Minimum of 2 years required License: Must be licensed to practice
as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Virginia
Certifications: BLS required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP preferred
Must-Have: - Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care
- Previous experience as a Respiratory Therapy Technician - EPIC
Charting experience required - No prior license or background hits
Description: Chesapeake is located in the beautiful area known as
Coastal Virginia. Chesapeake is an outdoor lover's paradise
offering trails for all levels of hikers and over 20 waterways to
explore. Applicants must be credentialed by the National Board of
Respiratory Care. Must be licensed to practice as a Respiratory
Care Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The facility
will not consider any license or background hits. Skills required
include: - Operating BIPAP and CPAP machines - Mechanical
ventilators - Oxygen and aerosol delivery devices - Oxygen
analyzers - Pressure monitors - Portable and stationary pulmonary
function equipment - Pulse oximetry devices - EtCO2 devices - Blood
gas machines - Continuous and intermittent positive pressure
devices - Stethoscope BLS is required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP are
preferred (BLS and ACLS must be via AHA). CRT will be considered.
Ensure compliance with CRH Fit Testing requirements; the facility
cannot accommodate a PAPR. Any history of fit test issues will
eliminate a candidate from consideration. EKG Testing is required
for specific units, providing 1 attempt with an 80% minimum to
pass. Modules are billable, with 3 hours of modules required to be
