The
Field Visual Merchandiser is responsible for driving consistent
execution of the brand’s visual strategy to create a differentiated
customer experience that drives sales, margin and turn while
maintaining the highest level of brand and operational excellence
throughout the store by ensuring our teammates are executing the
DICK’S common purpose both while tasking and delivering a
hassle-free, engaging, athlete-first service. They ensure this by
strategically delegating and trusting their team to get the job
done and ensure the company vision is executed. They are directly
involved in creating a high-energy, highly engaged workplace;
determined to foster and develop a team who knows they are valued,
recognized, invested in, and aware of how their contribution
positively impacts the organization. Although they are agile and
hyper focused on the business, the FVM is a highly engaged leader
providing guidance and developmental teammate support . The FVM can
balance strategic execution with teammate development while
maximizing profitability through quality merchandise presentation.
Essential Job Functions
Promotes Visual Merchandising as a
key contributor to sales, margin and turn by maximizing the impact
of game plans, brand standards, productivity of product flow,
escalating space issues, and seasonal movement of product.
Evaluates and understands store KPIs to make commercial decisions
and recommendations based on sound financial judgment. Supports
House of Sport location through training, to ensure that game plan
integrity is followed for major strike points and flexed for stores
with unique space constraints. Leads and walks the store regularly
to ensure standards are being maintained with department
leads/ASM’s and identifies presentation concerns that need updated,
providing constructive feedback, guidance, and education to align
on expectations. Follows up with tasks to ensure progress is being
made, teammates are being held accountable and tasks are
appropriately assigned for gameplans to be executed flawlessly.
Actively participates in weekly meetings with HoS directors and
managers to identify challenges and provide recommendations to
address opportunities Merchandising
- Provides solutions to store specific visual merchandising
challenges based on game plan direction, brand standards, store's
unique architecture and sales performance.
- Ensures that all updates have field leadership and CSC
visibility, updates are maintainable / sustainable and documented.
Supports and leads major game plan sets with the HOS visual team to
understand company merchandising strategies, adjacency relevance,
game plan tactics and to act as the "voice of the field" during set
development through to execution. Closely partners with the
leadership teams for Game Plan updates and strategic product
placement to ensure visual standards are met and company strategies
are being maximized. Ensures transparent communication amongst
visual specialists and teammates by leveraging tools to keep tasks,
assignments, and deadlines organized (e.g., Game plan binder,
communication board, monthly calendars, etc.) Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Business Management, Retail Management,
Visual Merchandising.
- 3 - 5 Years of Management Experience in Visual Merchandising
Experience
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated understanding of customer and retail merchandising
strategies.
- Strong problem solving skills based on analytics
- Excellent Training and facilitation skills
- Ability to be flexible and prioritize multiple projects while
meeting deadlines and working independently.
- knowledge of customer service principals.
