Apply Now!Your OpportunityThe Chef manages kitchen operations on a
day to day basis. Strives to ensure service is prompt and
courteous, while meeting customer's meal expectations. Develops
menu, new menu items/recipe development and local favorites.
Oversees activities of the Kitchen Staff.Core Responsibilities
- Create Daily Specials for lunch and dinner and ensures proper
food presentation. Incorporates local ingredients in menu items,
when possible.
- Works with GM to monitor and control inventory and to determine
supplies to purchase.
- Assists GM in scheduling Kitchen Staff.
- Works with GM to control Labor costs.
- Participates in interviewing and hiring of Kitchen Staff.
- Promotes teamwork among Kitchen staff.
- Participates in training of new personnel.
- Responsible for all Food Safety aspects - maintains health
standards according to state and local guidelines.
- Responsible for all aspects of kitchen cleanliness, including
all cooking vessels, dishes, etc.
- Tracks and schedules all kitchen equipment maintenance.
- Maintains clean and safe kitchen.
- Capable of working all kitchen positions.
- Discusses food items and menus with customers and media.The

- 2+ years of cooking experience in a well-rated restaurant,
required.
- Culinary training is preferred, but not required.
- ServSafe Certification, required.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to uncompromising
quality.
- Ability to work shifts with long periods of walking and
standing.
- Must have Food Handler's Card.
- Strong time management skills.
- Team player with a willingness to help other employees when
needed.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekend and
evening shifts.
- Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic
environment.
- Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while
building strong working relationships and a positive work
