SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The Senior Human Resources (HR)/Administrative Coordinator will work closely with the HR Manager, the Vice President (VP), Manned Operations, and other teams to support people and culture initiatives and programs. This position will provide administrative support as requested for the VP, Manned Operations. This position works out of our Chesapeake, VA location and reports to the HR Manager.This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in contributing to the overall success of the company.   • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute functional areas, including but not limited to talent and performance management, learning and development, culture, recognition, morale, and health and safety.
  • As requested, provides administrative support to the VP, Manned Operations.
  • Assists with recruitment of qualified job applicants for open positions to include collaborating with hiring managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings, interviewing (if requested), and facilitating required hiring procedures.
  • Ensures the onboarding of new team members. Conducts new hire orientations and facilitate the offboarding process.
  • Responds to day-to-day employment-related inquiries, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the HR Manager.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory staff training and professional development.
  • Supports compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes/employment law, and new technologies in people and culture.
  • Participates and assists with proposal generation and submission as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.JOB REQUIREMENTS:
    • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in HR management or a related discipline.
    • Minimum of three years in an HR role or similar.
    • Ability work non-traditional hours to complete projects or special assignments, as necessary.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented culture that values the importance of being a good teammate, communicator, and partner to the HR team and colleagues.
    • Ability to perform with high integrity and maintain high ethics and confidentiality.
    • Strong analytical, written, verbal, and presentation skills; intermediate level competency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint applications.
    • Demonstrated ability to innovate, self-start, think ahead, problem solve, and engage proactively.
    • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritize.
    • Knowledge of HR regulations and employment laws.
    • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn HRIS systems (WFNADP) and other evolving technologies.
