Job Description:

SLAIT Consulting is currently seeking an Application Release Manager/Engineer for our client in the Virginia Beach, VA area.

SUMMARY:

The Configuration and Release Engineer will help establish and evolve the Client?s Configuration Management (CM) practice. This person will have an understanding of enterprise technologies, including web technologies, programming languages, database platforms, multi-tiered systems, and will be eager to learn and grow in an exciting and fast-paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Support development team plans and schedules by providing CM/Release Engineering services to build, deploy, and develop scripts; to oversee branch and merge strategies; and to build automated tools as necessary to offer services to application teams.

* Work with the development and infrastructure teams to resolve build, deployment, and release issues and to communicate status/solutions to appropriate stakeholders.

*Ensure the organization?s development processes are followed by those developing and releasing software.

* Create requirements and designs for Configuration Management/Release Engineering systems; implement CM/Release Engineering improvement plans.

* Work flexible hours to avoid impact to production systems.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

* Experience with Configuration and Administration of IIS, Microsoft .NET, Visual Studio, TFS, and SQL server.

* Experience with Windows Server ?08, ?12.

* Experience automating Configuration as well as Build and Release Management processes.

* Experience with Microsoft Release Management preferred.

* Experience with PowerShell preferred.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Associate?s Degree in Information Systems or related field (or equivalent experience).

NUMBER OF YEARS? EXPERIENCE

3+ years' Information Technology experience.
