Excel Truck Group is seeking an experienced Mobile Diesel Mechanic to join our 1 st shift team in Chesapeake, VA . This role is responsible for performing scheduled work at our customer locations.

If you have experience as a diesel truck mechanic , we want to hear from you. Certifications are a plus and can earn you an increase in wages. Experience with Freightliner, Mack, Sterling, Caterpillar, Detroit Diesel, and/or Cummins ideal but not required. Completion of a Diesel technician school and State Inspection Certification desired.

    Diagnoses mechanical problems; able to handle regular maintenance, light and heavy repairs for Trucks. To include repairs brakes, transmissions, rear-ends, clutches, hydraulic systems, valves, pumps and electrical problems and engine repairs.
    • Performs repairs and or scheduled maintenance as needed as a mobile Technician at our customers location.
    • Ideally certified to perform State Inspections and CDL.
    • Able to work independently. Can diagnose and repair on the roadside and or not at our dealership.
    • Prepares work orders for repairs and works closely with our Parts department to insure an efficient repair.
    • Promotes cooperation and teamwork.
    • Willing to train and maintain certifications necessary as ongoing technician training and development.
    • Able to embrace our Elite Support & Safety Culture.
    • Must have your own tools.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.
