Job Description:
The Director, Digital and Mobile Solutions owns the roadmap and
technology solutions that support the digital properties across the
Family Dollar organization. The Director leads a team that
maintains multiple, active initiatives and prioritizes the roadmap
with the PMO, operations and business stakeholders in Merchandising
& Marketing. The team led by this role will be comprised of the
necessary internal product owners, UX designers and front-end web
developers for implementing digital solutions via industry best
practices and related to the exchange of data between systems, the
digital shopping experience and any post order processing of
ecommerce orders. These areas include, but are not limited to the
web storefronts, corporate site, mobile/loyalty apps, social media
platforms, ecommerce, post order processing, transactional emails
and more. This role will own the multi-year roadmap, prioritized
regularly with business & operational stakeholders and maintain
delivery of active digital solutions that involve internal &
external/vendor development teams. Maintaining an on-time,
on-budget and on-quality implementation of roadmap initiatives
becomes a key part of success. This role is responsible for the
execution of operational initiatives developed in the above areas
in collaboration with the VP Digital Operations. The Director needs
to be highly collaborative, well organized, with strong
communication & problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate should
have a key understanding of the Good, Fast, Cheap triangle and be
effective at resolving shortcomings before being turned over to
Operations. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Work with VP &
peer Directors to define and deliver key initiatives essential in
the evolution of our digital properties. Define solutions that
address emerging challenges & desires of the Business while
maintaining a firm grasp on feasibility, resources & associated
budgets. Prioritize quality, time & costs of initiatives with
stakeholders and set clear expectations throughout delivery. Ensure
that active initiatives are always progressing forward and meeting
expectations. Manage executive communications on high profile
initiatives. Implement solutions that always include knowledge
transfer & associated documentation to Operations for ongoing
health & support. Develop & maintain a 3-5 year roadmap that is
reviewed & prioritized regularly with stakeholders. Minimum
Requirements / Qualifications Bachelors' degree or equivalent
experience in digital technologies Minimum 5 years retail digital
experience within a multi-system tech stack Proficiency in industry
best practices in delivering digital solution Ability to think
strategically and add value to the business Highly motivated with
the ability to manage others to function independently and deliver
solutions Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to
build and maintain highly collaborative relationships with business
