Job Description Job Description Job Title: Forklift Operator Job Description The role primarily involves working on the loading dock of a company specializing in industrial piping solutions. Responsibilities include pulling orders, preparing large piping products for shipment using RF scanners, and operating sit-down forklifts to handle battery-powered lifts at a new location. Responsibilities Lift and palletize materials exceeding 50 lbs. Shrink-wrap materials and assist in moving them onto trucks. Operate sit-down forklifts to manage metal piping pieces of various sizes. Restock the warehouse and manually pull parts. Prepare UPS/FedEx packages, handling 20-35 orders daily. Assist customers picking up parts and perform cleaning duties as necessary. Essential Skills 3 years of forklift and order-pulling experience. Proven experience in a warehouse environment with a focus on production. Ability to efficiently and safely use shrink-wrapping equipment. RF scanner and computer skills. Experience operating sit-down forklifts. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in material handling, inventory control, and shipping & receiving. Ability to perform cycle counts and general labor tasks. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a bright and spacious warehouse with state-of-the-art lighting systems. While the facility does not have AC, large fans provide ventilation. The second shift operates from 4 pm to 12 am, and training is provided. The team consists of approximately 14 employees, emphasizing maturity and strong work performance. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
