General Summary:

Reporting directly to the Manager of Talent Technology, this position serves as the lead system administrator supporting systems and programs associated with HR Talent Management. The Talent Development Systems Specialist will serve as a subject matter expert in a shared services model supporting Dollar Tree and Family Dollar's Talent Development programs such as onboarding, performance management, succession planning, high potential development, early career and Associate engagement. This includes partnering with all associated HR business partners and vendor partners to support the programs through systems management and data analysis. This position will serve a critical role in ongoing talent development projects.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with organizational business partners and external vendors to maintain and improve essential operational systems, tools, collateral and programs impacting talent development
  • Drive best practice strategy on talent development systems implementations
  • Manage the on-going administration of the Talent Management System and all associated 3rd party integrated systems and partners
  • Function as day-to-day support resource for users, providing hands-on direct troubleshooting expertise and guidance
  • Work with the HRIS team to plan, organize and manage enhancements to all talent development systems
  • Develop strong reporting capabilities to drive key performance metrics to be used by Talent Management, HR Business Partners, Learning & Leadership Development, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, IT and other internal functions and external
  • In collaboration with training and development, influence the design and deployment of training guides to improve user efficiency within systems
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to business partners through meetings, presentations, standard reporting, graphs, charts, tables and other vehicles
  • Provide trusted partnership, consultation, and perspective to influence and improve talent development programs and practices
  • Identify other talent programs and business needs to positively impact the development of Associates and business results

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field
  • A minimum of 1 year of applicable experience

Technical Skills/Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills and experience managing a Talent Management System or other HR system
  • Working knowledge of an HR system of record (Oracle, Lawson, SAP, etc.) a plus
  • Advanced MS Office skills including: Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint are required. Advanced proficiency in Excel and Access preferred
  • SQL query writing experience a plus

  • Ability to communicate concepts and outputs to non-analytical audiences verbally, through email, and in presentations
  • Intellectual curiosity, results oriented, with a strong commitment to customer service
