Summary of Role/Position
Monitors, repairs, and adjusts facilities equipment, including
but not limited to; HVAC, plumbing, electrical-lighting/ power
dist., systems, powered equipment-internal combustion and electric
powered material handling equipment, industrial compressors and
dryers, generator/ UPS systems, Conveyance, carton erection and
taping systems. Assists with maintenance of physical plant and
special projects as assigned.
- Reviews assigned job orders daily and determines work
priorities. Makes necessary repairs, cleanings, calibrations,
adjustments, inspections, diagnostics, and replacements to all
facilities equipment. Completes all assigned maintenance tasks in a
timely manner and in accordance with all OEM, industry, local/
state and federal standards guidelines and recommendations.
- Performs preventative and corrective maintenance tasks in
accordance with schedules and standards. Works with Supervisors/
Managers to ensure utilization of equipment and rotation
- Inspects equipment daily or as needed for conformance with
operational and safety standards.
- Submits requisitions for tools, equipment, part, supplies, and
contractors required to maintain equipment operations.
- The ability and desire to learn the previously mentioned
- Other duties as assigned.
YOU MUST HAVE:
- One year certification from college or technical
school/training; or three to six years related experience and/or
training; or equivalent combination of education and
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal.
- Basic reading, writing, and math.
- OSHA certified in equipment operation.
- Inventory Control and/or Warehouse experience preferred.
Machines, Tools, Equipment (Office and Industrial), Software:
Warehouse management system terminal, radio frequency scanner,
calculator, fax machine, copier and telephone, label device, knife.
Use of Order Picker for cycle counts performed in rack.
Occasionally: activity exists up to 1/3 of the time (8 hour
shift = less than 3 hours total time)
Frequently: activity exists from 1/3 of the time up to 2/3 of
the time (8 hour shift = 3-5 hours total time)
Constantly: activity exists 2/3 or more of the time (8 hour
shift = 5-8 hours total time)
