The role of the Subject Matter Expert (SME) 1-VIDS is to provide
day-to-day support with experience in multimedia and audio/visual
control and distribution systems projects which include the
following, Systems Requirements, Operational Requirements, Test &
Evaluation, and Training. Recognized expert who has demonstrated
industry and public service leadership in C41SR systems. This
position reports directly to the VIDS Group in Chesapake, VA.
Essential Duties Job Functions
- Working with NIWC Atlantic and other technical codes,
program/project managers, and SMEs, the Drafter/CAD Operator II
will assist the CAD Supervisor in planning, testing, and
integration of complex audio-visual displays, various communication
and electronic warfare systems, related ancillary and computer
based systems onboard naval ships and command centers
- We expect this employee to have experience working in or around
industrial environments such as shipyards and Naval/Coast Guard
bases and piers.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience
- Must be a US citizen
- Must be able to attain a Secret clearance (for continued
employment) - Security Clearance not required to apply for
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Technical Training from: Technical School, or Class A or B
military school in Electronics
- One of these CERTIFICATIONS is required
- CompTIA A+
- CompTIA Sec+
- CompTIA Net+
- AVIXIA (CTS, CTS-D or CTS-I) Certifications.
- Must have valid driver's license
- Field Experience
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a
high-pressure environment is crucial.
