In this critical support role, you will provide guidance, information, and assistance to those affected by this hurricane. Join our team to make an impact supporting your neighbors and fellow citizens! **Immediate Hiring - Work from Home Helping Others as a Contact Center Agent** We are looking to hire contact center agents to work from home in these critical support roles. You must have flexible work hours and be willing to work a variety of shifts. You will also need access to 10 Mbps of download speed and 1 Mbps of upload speed of dedicated internet bandwidth (satellite provided internet service will not qualify). Training will be provided. This opportunity is expected to last 4-6 months. **A Day in the Life of a Contact Center Agent:** + Impact the lives of others, by providing support to help individuals and families + Follow call guides to gather, enter and verify information to ensure necessary to provide necessary disaster assistance to aid in recovery + Adhere to established customer service and documentation standards necessary to provide the level of support required + Attend telephone skills and program information training sessions addressing policies, procedures and the handling of confidential information related to personal information **Successful Candidates Are** + Compassionate and empathetic with a passion for helping others + A proactive agent for change, with a passion for providing world-class customer service + Energetic and enthusiastic with a desire to achieve high levels of success + Able to thrive in a high-energy demanding environment that requires a sense of urgency **Qualifications** + High school diploma or equivalent; AND + Access to 10 Mbps of download speed and 1 Mbps of upload speed of dedicated internet bandwidth (satellite provided internet service will not qualify) + Ability to work remotely (from the comfort of your own home) in a quiet work environment free from distraction + Flexible availability and willingness to work any shift ( **including EVENINGS and WEEKENDS** ) during hours of operation ( **7:30 am - 12:30 am CST, 7 days a week** ) + Experience working with fax machines, computer software, and telephone technology + Outstanding interpersonal skills + Ability to successfully complete GDIT pre-employment screening + US Citizenship + Ability to speak read and write both English and Spanish fluent + **Must be a resident of the State of Texas living within a 60-mile radius of El Paso** **_This opportunity is expected to last 4-6 months._** **Applying for a career in GDIT's Engagement Center is as easy as 1...2...3.
