broad range of inpatient and outpatient services to meet the

offers four ORs, a medical/surgical unit, a labor & delivery suite
with a dedicated caesarian section OR, a full rehabilitation
therapy center, cancer treatment and radiation therapy center, and
a 24-hour emergency department. In addition, we are affiliated with
the Outer Banks Medical Group comprised of multiple primary care,

innovative community.Position Summary Responsible for creating the
first impression of the organization's services to patients and
families and other external customers. Essential duties may include
scheduling, registration and insurance verification for both
outpatient and inpatient services by collecting proper demographic
information and securing authorizations for procedures. Acts as the
primary liaison for patients receiving professional and hospital
services at Vidant Health.Minimum Requirements High School or
Equivalent (GED) is required.Associate Degree: preferredBachelors
Degree: preferred1 to 2 years of Registration and/or Billing
experience within a healthcare setting is required3 to 5 years -
customer service experience is requiredRequiredExcellent
communication (both written and oral), detail orientation,
organization, and multitasking skills requiredInsurance
Verification experiencePreferredExperience with EPIC and medical
office workflowsExperience with Microsoft Office/PC-based
applications (Outlook, Word and Excel)Other Information This is a
full-time, 40 hours a week, position.This position is located in
Outpatienty Admissions, Monday - Friday.The hours are 8:00 - 4:30
