Scope: Designer to support fluid power engineering group. The
designer applies fluid power theory and related knowledge to design
operational mobile hydraulic and pneumatic systems and
applications. Position Details Position Summary: Creates detailed
drawings of hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies and installations in
Autodesk Inventor.Revise hydraulic and pneumatic schematics in
EPLAN software and implement changes as assigned.Applies basic
knowledge of mechanical design principles to create components,
hose, tubing and fittings layout in 3D and is able to supervise
system installations and commissioning.Study, research and analyze
customer specifications, manuals and other data to assist in
designing and creating schematic drawings.Throughout development,
works with design engineers to integrate fluid power components in
to complete machine design.Selecting hydraulic and pneumatic
components, and provide specifications to purchasing
department.Interact with vendors and resolve technical issues.Keeps
informed of new methods and practices in system designs and
components.Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts,
practices, and procedures used in the field of maintenance of way
type of equipment.Review work orders, engine specifications,
contract specifications, etc. and create all supporting
documentation for the construction of machines.May require some
traveling to customer job site to evaluate problems and report to
supervisors with findings.Relies on experience and judgment to plan
and accomplish goals.Performs a variety of complicated tasks.A wide
degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Supervisory

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES(The knowledge, skills and
attributes required for satisfactory job performance) Education:
Require an Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year
College or technical school, or other fluid power organization
certificate required or demonstrated experience in the field. Must
possess at least 2-3 years of experience in the field of heavy
equipment machinery design and/or mobile hydraulic design and or.
In addition to having the technical qualifications, a fluid power
designer must be a good team player with strong communication and
problem-solving skills. Knowledge: Incumbent must have proficient
knowledge in the following areas:Knowledge of Mechanical Design and
preferably Fluid Power principlesSkills: Incumbent must demonstrate
or participate in internal/external training programs to obtain the
following skills:Knowledge of the current ISO and ANSI (Y14)
standards.Working knowledge of the metric system and geometric
dimensioning and tolerance.Familiar with weldments, and machining
operation.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific
and technical journals, financial reports, and legal
documents.Motivated and self-starter with the ability to work under
deadlines.Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as Calculus
and modern Algebra.Ability to define problems, collect data,
establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Ability to interpret an
extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or
diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete
variables.A.R.E.A., AAR, S.A.E, N.F.P.A (fluid power) membership
helpful but not required. Applicable Technical Competencies:

change requests in JIRA software.Create 3D machine layouts with
hydraulic and pneumatic components. Interacts with Design Engineers
to make sure that the design meets the machine's requirements.
Works with shop supervisors in identifying and resolving machine
design issues involving hydraulic and pneumatic. 30%Duty
StatementsPrepare technical write-up.Verify that the final product
meets the customer's requirements.Review machines work order and
