Job Description:
The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking
an Executive Assistant to provide complex, strategic
executive-level support to the Talent and Workforce Strategy Leader
and the Virginia Talent Accelerator Division. This position will
support the divisions' programs, services, and events and play an
important role in financial management, organizing office
operations, and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced,
high-demand environment.--Responsibilities:Manage and maintain
leadership calendars including scheduling meetings, events, and
travelDraft and edit correspondence and develop
presentation/collateral materialManage departmental invoices and
payment approvals and process monthly credit card statementsAssist
with management of division budget, including preparation of annual
budget and tracking monthly expenses as requestedSupport the
onboarding process for new staff by scheduling training and
orientation meetings and ensure staff have appropriate materials
and equipmentArrange and manage travel, meetings, and conference
registrationsAssist staff with expense reports and ensure
compliance with agency policies and proceduresOrder and maintain
office suppliesManage coordination of meeting details including
logistics, catering, and room set-upSkills:Strong communication
skills and exceptional English grammar, punctuation, and
proofreading skillsDemonstrated organizational and time management
skills, exceptional attention to detail, and strong problem-solving
skillsWork experience in project management and fiscal tracking,
reporting, and recordkeeping preferredWork experience interfacing
with business and government executivesAbility to be flexible and
adaptable in response to changing work prioritiesAbility to
maintain strict confidentiality and professionalismWorking
knowledge of economic development and Virginia state government
processes preferredHigh proficiency using Microsoft Office and
Adobe suite of productsDemonstrated proficiency using a customer
relationship management system, such as
Salesforce--Experience:Extensive administrative experience in an
executive environmentBeing authorized to work in the U.S. is a
