**Description:**Perform electrical, mechanical tecimical duties involving assembly, testing, installation, operation andmaintenance of aerostats, mooring sub systems and associated support equipment. Perform assembly andwiring operations on electro-mechanical chassis, consoles, cables, and systems associated with moderatelycomplex first article, prototype, or limited production equipment from manufacturing information andwhere procedures are established.Working ProcedureElectrician Installation, testing, operation, maintenance and repair of electrically operated equipmenttogether with associated distribution networks and components.Assemble and wire, using schematics and/or wire lists, complete electro-mechanical assemblies forming allnecessary cabling, wire, and routing per drawing.Perform final cleanup and pre-Quality inspections of Chassis type Electro mechanical assemblies, Inspectto IPC-A-620, FOD, and ESD procedures and requirementsPerfonn final assembly on electro-mechanical chassis type assemblies. Perform necessary fitting andaligning of all mechanical and electrical componentsBuild cable assemblies, cut wire to length, terminate crimp or solder circular or D-series connectors, runand terminate braid and final heat shrink.Perform circuit check on completed assemblies.Perform refurbishment and modifications of fielded equipment. Perform bench repair on identifieddefective items, such as rewiring incorrect connections, removing and replacing defective wires andcomponents, re-soldering connection, redressing and retying wire runs, etc.Execute Engineering changes from revision notices and make any repairs including adding and/orremoving wires and/or components.Assemble various mechanical parts, panels, doors, hinges, frames, etc on airborne and ground chassisassembliesDiesel engine mechanic - Installation, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of small andmedium size dies and diesel generators. May also be required to maintain motorized support equipment.Hydraulic Mechanic - Installation, testing, maintenance and repair of hydraulic motors, pumps, valves andjacks used to operate and maintain aerostat support equipment and the mooring subsystem.In addition, there may be required routine maintenance on electrical/electronic and mechanical equipmentin high places using man lifts.Maintain a safe. clean and orderly work area.Prepare and submit written reports such as Field Trouble Correspondence (FTC's) and Field Reports (FR's)on work assigned.Interpret instructions, written and oral, on all aspects of assigned duties.Relay instructions to same or lower classified technicians or others as appropriate.Receive and follow all company policies, such as health, safety, morale, and company reporting andmaterial control procedures.Recommend improvements as appropriate.Guide and assist fellow teclmicians and indigenous personnel in the performance of their duties.Work under normal daily supervision of site supervisory personnel or assigned leaders.Capable of carrying out major tasks without constant supervision.Cross training in all areas of expertise.Able to work in a high paced, team environment with Engineering, Quality and Logistics.**Skills:**Repair, Aerostat, Inspection, Blueprint, Manufacturing, production, inspect, parts, material, make, build, repair, align, fasten, test, product, equipment**Top Skills Details:**Repair, Aerostat, Inspection, Blueprint, Manufacturing, production, inspect, parts, material, make, build, repair, align, fasten, test, product, equipment**Additional Skills & Qualifications:**High School graduate or equivalent required.Two years as an Electro/Mechanical Technician or equivalent and/or three years satisfactory performanceas an Electronics Assembler or equivalent experience.
