ideal candidate will have a background or field of study in Supply
Chain Management or a related field. The candidate should have the
ability to balance multiple tasks at one time and hit deadlines
without compromising results or productivity. Advance skills in
Microsoft Office, MRP/ERP, and PLM are important. The candidate
will need analytical and critical thinking skills. The candidate
should have a positive approach and be a problem-solver, focused on
finding solutions, and should be comfortable recommending changes.
The ideal candidate will possess interpersonal and communications
skills with various personality types, as well as the ability to
write professional memos and letters. Prior work experience in
Supply chain or manufacturing will be helpful with willingness to
learn new things.The Material Requirements Planning Analyst will be
responsible for managing releases of manufacturing work orders/Job
Orders for the PLASSER AMERICAN facility by working closely with
the master scheduler and the BoM analysts. The Material
Requirements Planning Analyst will be responsible for reviewing
material usages from previous data and upcoming orders to maintain
optimum inventory levels. The analyst will also support the
aftermarket sales team by providing lead times.Essential Job
FunctionsUpdate Item master parameters with the MRP system.Release
work orders to the floor based on replenishment reports. Release of
MRP work orders to the manufacturing floor based on the master
schedule and Build Sequence.Track and manage tasks against
established milestones.Utilize the Look ahead report to identify
shortages.Work with cross functional team to resolve material
issues.Support the aftermarket sales team by providing Lead Times
and periodic updates.Execute centralized planning functions
themselves using MRP such as manage material ordering of common
stock, material master updates for planning, engineering change
notice incorporation (ECN), etc.Play a key role in new product
introduction activities.Assists in special projects as
required.Develop work procedures for essential
duties.QualificationsBachelor's degree or operations background is
strongly desired.APICS training and/or certification is a plus.2+
years of operating in a production environment.Automotive-related
production experience is strongly preferred.PLM Windchill or
related Experience is a plus.Modern MRP/ERP AS400, SAP or related
Experience is strongly Preferred.Understanding of basic Supply
Chain operating principles.Must have excellent analytical skills
with a good work ethic and verifiable track record.Advanced PC
skills, proficient in Microsoft Office programs.Effective
communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to work
closely within cross-functional teams to perform tasks with
precision and within required time frames.Ability to work in a
meticulous manner with the desire for continuous improvement and a
positive attitude.Ability to interpret engineering drawings is
highly desirable. Lean Six Sigma experience is a plusThis is not a
