Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment using schematics and assembly drawings. Develop troubleshooting test routines. Perform soldering in support of troubleshooting repairs. Duties will be assigned according to operational priorities and will be distributed between shop and on-site equipment environments. Job tasks frequently require the candidate to stand, walk, and climb in industrial facilities where it is necessary to bend, stoop, reach, and lift moderately. As a field team member, the employee may be assigned to work in areas and be assigned duties not related to Electronics Technician tasks in order to support field site operations. This position requires a DoD Secret security clearance.
Education:
High school graduate or equivalent technical school diploma with 4 years' experience in electrical/electronic systems. Ability to read schematics and perform electronics troubleshooting. Competent in the use of computer programs such as windows paint, MS Word and MS Access. Secret clearance is required to start.
Qualifications:
Active Secret Clearance. 2M MTR experience, minimum three (3) years. It is also desirable for the candidate to have a strong background in surface mount technology to include soldering and circuit board repair. Experience in the testing and repair of Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA) in the Module Test and Repair (MTR), Gold Disk, or Repair Enhancement Programs. Gold Disk development, minimum three (3) years. Working knowledge and understanding of the NAVY supply system.
