Salary Range: $23-$35/Hour

Mid-Atlantic Waste Systems is a leading second-stage manufacturer of heavy equipment in the Mid-Atlantic region, and we are looking for an experienced Compactor Technician that is ready to get their hands dirty while they take their career to new heights. If you're a confident industrial mechanic with electrical troubleshooting, hydraulics, and welding skills, we'd like to talk to you!

As a Compactor Technician, you will:

• Follow all safety procedures such as lockout/tagout, fire watch, and fall protection protocols.
• Repair and or replace motors, pumps, cylinders, and valves.
• Adhere to requirements and maintenance needs of equipment being serviced.
• Torch and cut old chutes, guide rails, etc. for removal.
• Install trash compactors, fabricate chutes, and install cardboard balers as needed.

  • Employee Assistance Program Qualifications:
    
    • Mechanical aptitude
    • Possess and maintain a valid state driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
    • Working mechanical knowledge including the use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
    • Comfortable working in extreme weather conditions and confined spaces.
    • Experience with basic welding, cutting, and layout operations.
