Job Description:

- Responsible for directing repairs, service, and maintenance of a variety of vehicular equipment; directing workflow and developing schedules; maintaining records;
- Responsible for overseeing quality control for in-house and vendor repairs; making decisions about equipment, materials, and supply usage
- Responsible for direction and oversight of team of technicians (mechanics) over multiple shifts
- Responsible for establishing, maintaining and overseeing the fleet operations maintenance program and overseeing shop safety
- Responsible for coordinating with contractors, vendors, and other service providers
Responsible for directing, repairing, servicing and maintaining a variety of gasoline and diesel powered automobiles, trucks and heavy equipment to include motors, transmissions, differentials, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and body components
Responsible for diagnosing defects in automotive equipment and remedying the defects with approved methods
Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with representatives of other departments regarding repair and maintenance of vehicles
Scheduling preventive maintenance inspections, maintaining tire counts, and fuel balance(s)
Maintaining working order of fueling station(s)
Inspecting shop equipment periodically to ensure compliance with shop safety standards and cleanliness.
Maintaining accurate vehicle data records and preparing written reports
Inspecting new vehicles for proper equipment and optimal functioning
Reviewing accident and abuse reports
Overseeing employee training and development, evaluating performance
- Performs other duties as assigned or apparent
- Must be able lift or carry up to 100 lbs
- Must be able to communicate verbally and written.
- Must be able to stationary, standing, and sitting position for prolonged periods.
