Job DescriptionEaton's Hydraulic Fluid Filtration division is currently seeking a Regional Sales Representative - Industrial Plastics to join our team. This is a remote based sales position. The candidate for the role must be located in North Carolina, South Carolina, or Virginia.Position OverviewThe Regional Sales Representative is responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plan for the Industrial Plastics Division (IPD) in conjunction with plant management and other internal/external partners. In this role, you will direct sales to custom plastic extrusion markets such as Interior Furnishings, Construction, packaging, Refrigeration, Electronics, Office Furniture Systems, Automotive, Marine, etc.Making what matters work at Eaton takes the passion of every employee around the world. It's where bold, bright professionals like you can reach your full potential-and where you can help us reach ours.In This Function You WillCollaborate with plant personnel to develop sales strategy to grow the business in alignment with Divisional sales goals by identifying market opportunities and new customers.Collect, analyze and utilize competitive intelligence (products, pricing, needs and purchasing habits) to promote growth.Work with Customer Service and Quality Teams to ensure that customer issues are dealt with quickly and effectively, anticipating, participating and resolving potential customer conflictsMaintain up to date on knowledge/skills related to plastic extrusion trends and techniques, while educating customers on new developments specific to the customer needs Identify and develop partners (machinery, material and market) to meet customer needs You will document activity and communicate effectively with plant personnel team to better understand and provide response/service to customers. Maintain customer database of contacts and quotes.Operate & maintain computer controlled/automated test equipment and associated software and documentationWhen we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we - as individuals and as a company - are stronger.QualificationsRequired (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institutionMinimum 3 years of experience in sales requiredMust have valid driver's license with no restrictionsMust be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the futureNo relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates presently located in North Carolina, South Carolina, or Virginia will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in business, marketing or industrial engineering from an accredited universityMaster's or MBA degree5+ years or sales and/or marketing experience within industrial plastics industry (extruded plastics)Strong knowledge of managing products, product applications and distribution channels preferred.Position CriteriaAbility to demonstrate sales presence such that the candidate can clearly command in difficult sales situations. Ability to analyze markets to develop new opportunities. Ability to use sound analytical thinking to develop innovative solutions/recommendations that address problems/issues and achieve desired results.
